Download Messages from Internet Mail Accounts
single and multiple user accounts
Supports both single and multiple user accounts. A single user account is a mailbox that receives messages for just one
user in your organization.
A multiple user account is a mailbox that receives messages for more than one user and in many cases for an entire
organization (also known as global or domain accounts). eXchange POP3 examines each message and using advanced routing
technology delivers the message to the appropriate Exchange Server users.

Supports both Internet protocols (POP3 and IMAP) for retrieving messages.
unlimited mail accounts
Retrieves messages from any number of POP3 or IMAP mailboxes.
parallel processing
Retrieves messages from more than one mailbox at the same time. This ensures that mailboxes with a large amount of data
will not hold up processing of
other mailboxes.
download from more that one isp
Retrieves messages from mailboxes located on any number of Internet Service Providers (ISP).
special message headers supported
Supports special message headers (like X-ENVELOPE-TO and X-RCPT-TO) used by some ISPs to properly identify intended recipients of
messages in multiple user accounts.
internet mailbox sharing
In some circumstances you may want to share an Internet mailbox between eXchange POP3 and another user.
eXchange POP3 can optionally not delete a message after it has been downloaded leaving it for others to
download as well. You can specify how long an already downloaded message should stay in a mailbox before eXchange POP3
removes it.
message size restriction
Optionally set limit on message size for downloading. If message is to big it is deleted without being downloaded but
a message is sent to the intended recipients
stating that the message was discarded due to its size.

Rules Engine
Complete control of all messages entering or leaving your network. Easy to use and
flexible.
specify conditions
eXchange POP3 allows you to specify from a long list of conditions when a rule should be triggered. You can specify
conditions that include:
 | matching keywords in message fields (sender, recipient, copylist, subject, message body, attachment name, etc.) |
| message size |
| no valid sender, recipient or subject |
| and more... |
specify actions
If the conditions of a message are met the actions you specify are performed on the message.
Actions include:
| delete message |
| copy or move message to folder |
| copy or forward message to list of recipients |
| auto-reply and notification messages |
| insert text in message (example: confidentiality or legal statement) |
| remove all attachments or ones that have names that match certain keywords |
| map the domain part of a recipient's address if it matches a specified domain to a different domain |

Virus Scanning
eXchange POP3's virus scanning architecture works with almost all virus scanners on the market. eXchange POP3
allows you to use the virus scanner you already have chosen and trust for your organization to scan email messages before
they are delivered to Exchange Server.
You can set options on how to handle a message if a virus is detected. Options include moving message to a special folder and
notifying the sender, recipients and postmaster.

Outgoing Mail (Internet-Bound)
smart host or dns
Send all outgoing messages to your Internet Service Provider's (ISP) smart host (SMTP server) or send them directly to their destination domain using DNS lookup.
on demand processing
Optionally automatically send outgoing messages as they become available without waiting for schedule.
isp sending authentication
Some ISPs require authentication before accepting messages to be sent through them. eXchange POP3 supports the 2 main authentication
methods: 1) some ISPs require a login to your Internet mailbox before sending, and 2) some ISPs require a user Id and password
before sending (SMTP Authentication).

Folders
You can create folders for storing messages. Messages are stored to a folder if a rule is configured to do so or
if you have configured virus scanning to quarantine infected messages.
You can view the list of messages in a folder including their properties and histories. You can also forward
messages to a list of recipients.

Queues
Queues are special folders where messages are stored for processing. This allows you to see what messages are waiting to be
sent to the Internet or Exchange Server.

Schedule
Flexible scheduling allows you to specify how often during any part of the week to send/receive
messages. As an example, you may wish to process messages on weekdays from 9AM to 5PM every 15 minutes but only every hour during other times.
